GGPoker adds Jason Koon as newest brand ambassador

The World Series of Poker is not even a week old, and we saw one of the first big sponsorship moves. GGPoker was thrilled to announce a partnership with Jason Koon, who becomes one of their numerous high-profile stars and ambassadors. Daniel Negreanu was the first big name that GGPoker added to boost their profile. KidPoker and PokerStars had a 12-year relationship that ended when the Red Spade decided upon a different strategy, but GGPoker was ready to snatch up KidPoker to help them expand their brand.

GGPoker hosted a special press conference during the 2021 WSOP at the Rio to announce that they invite Jason Koon to join their ranks. The American pro from West Virginia previously had a relationship and sponsorship with partypoker . His biggest score to date was a $3.6 million haul with a victory in the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series in Montenegro . In early 2019, Koon shipped another Triton High Roller in Jeju, Korea for a $2.8 million score. At the 2017 PCA in the Bahamas, Koon binked the $100K Super High Roller for a $1.65 million score.

In this instance, Koon is not just there to wear a patch at live events. He will be an integral part of cleaning up GGPoker by paying close attention to cheaters in real time. Koon’s experience and expertise with solvers and AI is one of the reasons he adds versatility as a security expert. He’s not just gonna oversee a bunch of nerds in a room, but he’ll be an active member of their security team.

“One of my major rolls with GGPoker will be to find cheating and hunt down people using real-time assistance and software and help protect all levels including the highest stakes games,” said Koon.
