The Mid-States Poker Tour crowned its latest champion late on Sunday night. Christopher Audrian topped a field of 631 entries in the 2024 MSPT Hollywood Casino $1,100 main event in St. Louis, Missouri.

Audrian earned a career-best payday of $125,626 and his first MSPT trophy as the last player standing.

“It feels great”, Audrain told MSPT live reporters after coming away with the title. “The field was unbelievably tough this time I feel like and especially on Day 2, there were tons of crushers left which didn’t leave any weak spots, so it feels great to take this one down”.

The Missouri native now has nearly $571,000 in career tournament earnings after this big win.

The 840 Card Player Player of the Year points that Audrain secured for this title run were enough to move him into 264th place in the 2024 POY standings presented by Global Poker. This was his first title and third final-table finish of the year, with 1,360 total points accrued along the way.

The top 67 finishers made the money, earning a share of the $612,070 prize pool. Several big names ran deep, including reigning World Poker Tour Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown main event champion and 15-time World Series of Poker Circuit ring winner Joshua Reichard (7th – $18,513) and two-time MSPT main event winner Chris Meyers (3rd – $57,074).

In the end it came down to a heads-up showdown pitting Audrain against Joseph Derousse, who held the chip lead after eliminating Meyers. Audrian had moved in front in time for the final hand of the tournament, though. Audrian raised with AA and DeRousse three-bet shoved with QJ. The board ran out 1032J6 and Derousse was sent to the rail in second place ($76,660).
