This event drew 440 entries, which built a prize pool of $662,200 to more than double the $300,000 guarantee. There was $220,000 set aside for the bounties, with payouts ranging from $500 to $50,000.
In addition to the marquee top payout, Khanchat also pulled a $10,000 and a $500 bounty as well, which means he has locked up $60,500 before even factoring how he finishes at the final table. He and the other eight contenders are all guaranteed at least $8,780 for making it down to the last nine, with $87,820 set to go to the eventual champion. This format seems to suit Khanchat, as he already finished second in the $1,700 mystery bounty at last year’s World Poker Tour bestbet Scramble festival for a career-best tournament score of $47,726. He would outdo that with a top-two finish in this event. Thad McNulty Khanchat has 41 percent of the chips in play heading into the final table. The second-largest stack belongs to James Leonard with 2,700,000.
Thad McNulty, who finished fourth in the 2019 CPPT bestbet Jacksonville main event and ninth in this same event last year, bagged up the third-largest stack with 1,175,000. He’ll be looking to add to his $629,247 in prior tournament earnings with another strong showing.
Nikhil Sunku, who finished third in a RunGood Poker Series main event here at bestbet Jacksonville earlier this year, sits in fourth chip position with 985,000.
Johnny Pham is sitting in the middle of the pack with 715,000. This will be the largest live tournament score yet for the longtime poker industry member based out of Las Vegas, regardless of how he finishes at this final table.
