Market Monitor: Connecticut July 2024

Online gaming in Michigan remains on a strong growth path. Total revenue in July was $191.4 million, up on the prior month and 25% higher than the same month a year ago.

BetMGM still leads the market, fending off a challenge from FanDuel in second place. It reported $50.7 million last month; FanDuel was second with $46.7 million; and DraftKings sits third with $37.1 million. Still, FanDuel is growing at some 50%+ year-over-year, whereas BetMGM is largely static, so it is expected to claim top spot soon.

The trio make up 70% of Michigan online casino revenue, but that’s still more than enough room for a robust and competitive second-tier of operators. BetRivers and William Hill/WSOP sit atop this middle pack, with $12.7 million and $11.5 million in revenue, respectively.
