DraftKings, the powerhouse of daily fantasy, sports betting, and online casino in the United States, has ventured into the peer-to-peer online poker world with the launch of Electric Poker , a lottery-style sit-and-go format integrated within its casino app.
While this is not a full-fledged online poker rollout, it represents a significant milestone in the US online poker landscape. This launch marks the first time a major US-based igaming giant with little to no poker experience has developed its own online poker product, positioning itself alongside established poker-first operators like PokerStars and WSOP.
The game plays exactly like the traditional jackpot sit and go found on platforms such as PokerStars MI’s Spin & Go or WSOP MI’s BLAST — three-handed, winner-takes-all tournaments where the prize pool is randomized at the start, ranging from two to 10,000 times the buy-in.
Players start with 500 chips, and the blinds increase every two minutes in a hyper-turbo structure. The game is available at four buy-in levels, from $1 to $25.
