Report: Pennsylvania casinos shatter record, generate $425 million in revenues

Pennsylvania casinos generated more than $425.9 million in October, eclipsing a revenue high set in July, state regulators said.

Casinos generated $2.25 million more last month than in July, when revenues topped $423.6 million , according to a report from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. In addition, revenues last month increased by 33%, or $105.6 million, compared to revenue in October 2020.

Of the state’s 16 licensed casinos, Parx Casino in Bucks County saw the highest revenue total in October, bringing in around $57.3 million.

Locally, Rivers Casino Pittsburgh saw revenues total $32.3 million. Of that, slot machines brought in $22.8 million, with $8.4 million generated from table games. The amount generated from sports betting decreased significantly from September when revenues reached $2.4 million . Last month, $949,917 was generated from sports wagering.

In all, the facility saw $37.5 million wagered through sports betting in October.

At Hollywood Casino at the Meadows in Washington County, which rebranded from The Meadows Racetrack and Casino last month, revenues in October totaled $24.3 million.

The facility brought in $14 million from slot machines, $3 million from table games and $7 million from retail and online sports wagering. The amount generated from sports betting increased significantly from September when revenues reached $2.1 million. In all, $204 million was wagered through sports betting at the facility.

Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin in Fayette County generated $1.8 million, $1.6 million of which came from slot machines and $222,488 from table games.

Live! Casino Pittsburgh, which opened in Hempfield’s Westmoreland Mall last November, saw revenues of $9.4 million last month. Of that, $7.9 million came from slot machines, $1.3 million from table games and $209,004 from retail sports wagering. In all, the facility saw $1.4 million wagered through sports bets, data show.In casinos across the state, retail slot machine revenues totaled $203.4 million, and retail table games generated $89 million.
