Final Table Recap

The seven-handed final table began with Shaban second in chips behind “myrtle7”, who would send “TeeWee55” to the rail in seventh place in dramatic fashion. “TeeWee55” was all in with queens against the sevens of their opponent. The flop gave both players a set but “myrtle7” spiked the one-outer on the river to improve to quads.

Shaban would then move into the chip lead after tangling with “myrtle7” who slid further down the chip counts after doubling up “evilstepsis”, who then eliminated “Lacey411” in sixth place. Shaban would retain the chip lead after eliminating “dclu98”, but there was drama still to come as the other three players tangled in a massive three-way all in. “evilstepsis” would triple to leave “myrtle7” and they would be eliminated in fourth place. “I’m an ONCOOP champion! I did it!” The stack sizes meant Shaban was able to take most flops with pre-flop raises, reducing his opponents to ten big blind stacks. “evilstepsis” was eliminated in third place bringing the tournament to heads-up with Shaban holding more than a 5:1 chip lead. However, heads-up opponent “FearScott” would battle into the chip lead against Shaban, but eventually came off second best. Shaban three-bet shoved with ace-jack into the nines of his opponent, and after flopping two pair Shaban was praying for no rivered two-outer. As the final card came, Shaban exploded with joy.

“Yes, yes!” he cried. “I’m an ONCOOP champion! I did it! “It’s such a good feeling come on. We took down an ONCOOP, let’s go guys!” How to Play PokerStars in Ontario
