Playtech’s online poker network, iPoker, is gearing up to host the Elite Series XL Autumn Edition, its second major tournament series of the year. Once again, it raises the stakes with a €7.5 million guarantee — the largest in its history. This record-breaking prize pool is spread across nearly 500 tournaments, making it one of the most extensive schedules the network has ever offered.
The series will take place from September 1 through October 10 and will overlap with PokerStars’ WCOOP and GGPoker’s WSOP Online bracelet series.
Although it doesn’t match the hundreds of millions in guaranteed prize money offered by its two larger rivals, this is iPoker’s biggest series yet. The €7.5 million guarantee represents a half-million increase over the Elite Series Spring Edition held earlier this year and a €2 million jump from the same series held during this period last year.
