Market Monitor: Connecticut May 2022

Connecticut online casino revenue tumbled in May, with licensees reporting a combined $16.6 million. It is the worst month so far this year.

This is despite a new licensed online casino reporting revenue in the state: the Mohegan Tribe is now authorized to offer online casino gaming on-reservation. However, like the existing Mashantucket (Western) Pequot Tribal (MPTN)’s on-reservation offer, its reported revenue is too small to be visible on the charts below.

The lion’s share of the market is split between DraftKings and FanDuel. The former remains at the top, reporting $9.4 million last month for a 57% share of the market.

FanDuel’s $7.2 million (43%) makes up the rest. This is a reversal of the gains that FanDuel had made in the last few months: Since February, it had been chipping away at DraftKings’ market share. May’s figures put it back to where it was at the start of the year. CT Casinos: Online Partners, Game Types and Launch Dates
