PokerStars Trials Short-Stack Cash Games at High Stakes

Operator launches new cash game poker tables, allowing players to enter the table with just ten big blinds. Online poker giant PokerStars is trialing short-stacked cash game tables in the dot-com market. The new short-cash game tables allow players to buy in with just ten big blinds instead of the standard 40 to 60 big blinds.

These are currently available at high stakes only, with stakes of $5/$10, $10/$20, and $25/$50 at No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha six-handed tables. These tables are spread, presumably, to test the waters, and can be spotted in the cash game lobby with a ‘Short’ label next to the game type.
