PokerStars Winter Series takes place from Dec. 25 – January 12 with $50 million in total guaranteed prize money. PokerStars isn’t waiting for the 2021 EPT Online to end before offering online poker grinders another major series to mark in their calendars. The PokerStars Winter Series returns from December 25 through January 12 with a total series guarantee of at least $50 million.
Like other PokerStars premium online series, the upcoming Winter Series features a three-tiered buy-in schedule with “High”, “Medium”, and “Low” events, plus another 39 events that are thrown in without a tied category for good measure making a total of more than 290 events.
Bankroll budgets of any size can get in on the action with buy-ins for the Winter Series events ranging from as little as $2.20 up to the $10,300 buy-in High Roller with $750,000 guaranteed.
No doubt, some of the biggest events of the series will be the three Main Events which take place on Sunday, January 9. The “Low” Main Event has a $55 buy-in with a $1 million guarantee, the “Medium” arrives with a $530 price tag and a $1.5 million guarantee, and the main Main Event, the $5,200 “High” offers a $2 million guarantee.
To hit a $50 million series guarantee means that there are plenty of other events on the schedule backed by some big numbers. For instance, the $109 buy-in Phase Event, in which players can pick one or multiple Day 1s in order to amass a stack to make it to Day 2, has a $1.25 million guarantee. Perhaps one of the biggest values on the schedule takes place early in the series with Event #9-L, a $55 buy-in PKO that promises a prize pool of at least $1 million.
Perhaps the most notable “can’t miss” event will be the Sunday Two Million, Event #55-M, which kicks off the New Year on January 2 and comes with an old-school $215 buy-in and a $2 million guarantee.
