The Canada-based player earned his first WSOP gold bracelet and $282,586 in total prize money for the win, with $194,096 from the main prize pool and another $88,490 in bounties secured via knockouts. By the time the final table was set, Rishko had established himself as the clear chip leader. His 149,669,475 in chips was nearly three times as many as the second-largest stack, which belonged to Bruno Medalha. Tien Thanh Nguyen was the first to hit the rail when his pocket queens failed to hold up against the A2 of Ales Lekse and the A9. Lekse made deuces full of aces to take down the pot and eliminate Nguyen in ninth place ($18,914).
