ACR Poker’s Mystery Bounty Venom series recently wrapped up and produced the largest events to date in this popular format as well as the largest pot-limit Omaha tournaments the site has ever seen. The series saw tournaments topping guarantees for more than $10 million paid out to players.

The highlight was the $8 million guaranteed Mystery Bounty Venom main event, which attracted 3,234 entries for an $8.1 million prize pool. When the action concluded, 30-year-old Brazilian poker pro Ivan “chickenpastry” Limeira claimed the title and a total payout of $617,333. The new champion topped Hungary’s “im_so_sh0rt” heads-up for the title.

“I’m so grateful and relieved that all the hard work actually paid off,” Limeira said. “I always dreamt of winning big prizes and actually realizing this dream felt so good. The Venom is one of the world’s best poker tournaments, and playing in the Mystery Bounty format is extra exciting with the huge bounties.”

The event featured some other fireworks. Poker coach and World Series of Poker bracelet winner Faraz “The-Toilet 0” Jaka drew the top bounty prize of $500,000 in his first-ever Mystery Bounty series event. “provideordivide” ($158,750) and “!Alexyo” ($153,750) claimed the other top bounties. Jaka celebrated his good fortune via a video on Twitter.

“It’s my wife’s birthday, that must be lucky,” he said. “It’s going to be a nice surprise for her.”

ACR Pros Chris Moneymaker, Drew Gonzalez, Jon Pardy, and Michael Loncar also competed in the Mystery Bounty Venom . Moneymaker, who finished 302nd for $3,039, and Pardy both live streamed their day 2 action on ACR’s Twitch channel, giving fans a front row seat.

In other action, ACR’s largest PLO tournament of all time easily cracked the $2 million guarantee, drawing 914 entries for a $2.3 million prize pool.
