Winning a World Series of Poker bracelet is one of the game’s most extraordinary accomplishments, and Pennsylvania players will have eight WSOP online bracelets up for grabs throughout the summer.
As Pennsylvania online poker remains ring-fenced from the rest of the country, its offerings will be separate from the events offered in Nevada and New Jersey, which share player pools, and Michigan, which also has its own series to mirror Pennsylvania’s. This means that all eight WSOP PA bracelets will be won within the boundaries of the Keystone State.
WSOP PA’s eight offerings will take place over the seven Sundays throughout the 2022 WSOP (held in Las Vegas), starting June 5 and concluding on July 17. The final weekend will also include a Saturday tournament for the penultimate event. Buy-ins range from $400 to $1,000 . WSOP PA is more involved in 2022 than in 2021
The 2021 WSOP was held from the end of September through November, rather than its usual summer slotting. The schedule featured 88 live events with 11 additional bracelet events. By that time, WSOP PA was open for business and played host to one of the 11 online events for the fall.
This year, PA online poker players can compete for eight dedicated bracelets without having to leave home, let alone cross state lines to New Jersey or head west to Vegas. Combined with Michigan’s eight bracelet events and NV/NJ’s 13, the 2022 WSOP will be awarding 29 online bracelets during its marquee festival.
Michigan will soon join forces with Nevada, New Jersey, and Delaware after entering into the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement (MSIGA), which allows for interstate poker among all participating members.
This summer’s offerings demonstrate WSOP’s commitment to providing a robust online poker presence. Should Pennsylvania join the MSIGA or more states come into the picture, players could begin to compete for bracelets on a truly national level.
