Just when you thought it was safe to go back on the highstakes online tables, alleged poker cheat Bryn Kenney has re-appeared on GGPoker, making it to the final table of the SuperMillion$ this week… Kenney was at the centre of a massive cheating storm earlier this year when he was accused of everything from ghosting and collusion to abusing his “horses”, with the bizarre use of shamans and frog poison thrown into the mix for good measure.
In a lengthy Twitter thread, Florida pro Martin Zamani made a number of incredible allegations against Kenney, including: Ghosting
Collusion
Multi-accounting
Stealing agencies from friends
Using shamans and even frog poison on players
Forcing players to drop stakes for not following Kenney’s own alleged bizarre lifestyle
Although the Long Beach-born pro denied all these allegations in what was described as a “trainwreck” interview with PokerNews, screeds of information were later released that blew many of his denials out of the water. On the back of the allegations against Ali Imsirovic and Jake Schindler , both of whom were among scores banned by GGPoker for RTA-use and other breaches of the site’s T&Cs, many believed Kenney was another who wouldn’t be welcome on the site.
In the earlier interview with Sarah Herring, Kenney stated of his deal with GGPoker: “I started out as an ambassador and translated that into more of an affiliate deal, and…influenced and advised them on the tournaments, guarantees, satellite schedules…”Kenney refuted claims he was fired from his role with GGPoker, stating: “I wasn’t dropped as an ambassador, my account on GG is still live, it’s never been frozen/suspended at any time…” This despite allegations that he owed GGPoker $24million … It appears that Kenney is indeed welcome on the site, making it to the final table of the SuperMillion$ where he ran his short stack up to a second-place finish, edged out by Sebastian “Weizen” Gaehl for the title.
