The final bracelet of the 2021 World Series of Poker Online series was awarded to France’s Arnaud Enselme. He overcame a field of 7,103 entries in ‘The Closer’, a $500 buy-in no-limit hold’em event that featured a $2,021,000 guaranteed prize pool. The huge turnout built a prize pool of $3,373,925. Enselme earned $360,223 as the champion of this event, along with his first WSOP gold bracelet. This was the largest payday of Enselme’s career, surpassing the $95,453 he earned as the champion of a $1,100 buy-in event at the 2019 Venetian DeepStack Championship Poker Series. His win in this event increased his career earnings to just shy of $1 million. The final day of this event began with more than a thousand players remaining. By the time the final table was set, Kazuki Ikeuchi had established himself as the chip leader, while Enselme sat in second chip position. Enselme moved into the lead in the early going at the final table, and then extended his advantage by eliminating Ethan Reid in eighth place ($48,036). Ioannis Angelou-Konstas earned the next knockout, with his pocket kings besting the pocket nines of Koki Kudo (7th – $64,057).
