Bally’s to Help Write iGaming Expansion Bill in Rhode Island

Bally’s to Help Write iGaming Expansion Bill in Rhode Island – An elected official and executives with the Providence-based operator confirm Bally’s will use its expertise to help legalize online poker and casino gaming. Lawmakers in Rhode Island have asked Bally’s Corporation to help draft legislation to expand iGaming and launch online poker and casino gaming in the state.

The Providence-based operator, which has two land-based casinos in the state, said it would use its iGaming expertise to help lawmakers write such legislation and “seek legislative and executive branch approval” during the General Assembly’s current session.

“We intend to model this after the legislation used to establish online sports betting in Rhode Island, effectively giving the state complete regulatory control and the ability to ensure the integrity of the program while maximizing revenue for the state,” Elizabeth Suever, Vice President for Government Relations at Bally’s, said in a statement.
