Beginner’s Guide to Texas Holdem Poker

Texas Holdem is a community card game that people can play anywhere with 2-10 players. To learn how to play poker , you need to understand that the object of the game is to make the best 5-card hand using any combination of your own two hole cards and the 5 community cards that are dealt in the middle of the table. How betting works at a Texas Holdem poker game:

1) There is a small blind and a big blind. The small blind is usually half of the big blind. The person to the left of the dealer posts the small blind, and the person to the left of the small blind posts the big blind.

2) Each player is then dealt 2 hole cards face down at the poker table.

3) The first round of betting with poker chips starts with the player to the left of the big blind. This player can either call (match the big blind), raise (bet more than the big blind), or fold (quit the hand).

4) Once everyone has had a chance to bet, the dealer will deal three community cards in the middle of the table face up. These are called “the flop.”

5) The second round of betting at texas Holdem starts with the first player remaining in the hand to the dealer’s left. This player can either check (bet nothing), bet (bet something), or fold.

6) Once everyone has had a chance to bet during the round, the dealer will deal one more community card face-up. This card is called “the turn.”

7) The third round of betting starts with the first player remaining in the hand to the dealer’s left.
