Daniel Lazrus Wins 2021 WSOP Event #17: $1,500 Millionaire Maker No-Limit Hold'em

Daniel Lazrus has won his second WSOP gold bracelet after taking down the Million Maker for a cool $1,000,000. He defeated his 5,235 opponents to take the top share out of the $7,110,210 prize pool.

Previously, the American only had $14,035 in live tournament winnings from a career only two-years-old, and his last cash was winning his first bracelet in the WSOP Event #28 $3,200 No Limit Hold’em – High Roller Championship ONLINE (US Only) in July.

Now it looks like this new kid on the block is going to be a major figure in tournament poker for the foreseeable future. Quick Learner

Incredibly, Daniel Lazrus only started playing poker four and a half years ago. The 31-year-old American has taken to the game like a duck to water and is getting better faster than any player we can name right now.

“I only started playing about four and half years ago, at first just recreationally. I started winning, met the right guy, who put me in touch with the other right guys, just learned. Starting like two years ago I started raising stakes and studying very very aggressively almost as a priority.”

One of the players who he pointed at on the rail when saying that was Ali Imsirovic , one of the best players in the business right now. Another up-and-comer out of nowhere.

By the time the event was down to the final two players, Lazarus had a 3-1 chip lead but there was no play left in the stacks. It was pretty much a pre-flop game where anything can happen.

Darryl Ronconi survived the first couple of all-ins but finally Lazrus had his ace-jack hold against only ten-high and it was all over. We’re sure that we’ll be seeing a lot more of Daniel Lazrus before this series is over. Final results:

1 Daniel Lazrus $1,000,000 2 Darryl Ronconi $500,125 3 Jeffrey Gencarelli $377,125 4 Michael Gathy $288,715 5 Ignacio Moron $222,430 6 Kevin Palmer $172,455 7 Todd Saffron $124,570 8 Adam Sherman $105,690 9 Sertac Turker $83,545
