Day 1b of the PokerStars UKIPT Edinburgh Main Event , running at the Genting Casino Fountain Park, has now concluded. A total of 114 entries were made to the flight, and of those 17 players made it through to Day 2 and into the money.
After a bubble that lasted for several levels, Gajathan Kamalanathan has emerged as the chip leader with 669,000.
He’s followed closely by PokerStars Team Pro player Fintan Hand , who bagged 606,000 chips after doubling up and then dominating the shorter stacks on the bubble.
PokerStars Team Online Pro Benjamin Spragg also made it through, as did UKIPT leaderboard front-runner David Docherty , as well as Ankit Ahuja . Fintan Hand The Main Event will continue with Day 2, which commences Saturday at 1 p.m. local time. The event will be playing down to the final table.
