Francisco Benitez looks the most likely recipient of the almost half a million dollars top prize because the Uruguayan sits down at the final table with more than double the number of chips as any other finalists. Of course, anything can happen in poker, but it would take a brave person to bet against a Benitez victory with how things stand.

Benitez has enjoyed a purple patch of form in the live poker arena during 2022, winning almost $1.3 million, and looks to be carrying that hot run through to the virtual felt. Benitez goes into his fifth GGPoker Super MILLIONS final table holding 7,779,222 chips, or 111 big blinds. Although Benitez has never won this $10,300 buy-in tournament, he does have more than $1.88 million in earnings from it. Finishing sixth or better tonight, which seems likely, pushing his Super MILLION$ earnings through the $2 million barrier.

Aram Oganyan is the player closest to Benitez in terms of chips. The Mexico-based American has 3,424,651 chips at his disposal, which are worth 49 big blinds when play resumes at 6:00 p.m. on September 27. Oganyan does not play many Super MILLION$ events, so it is unsurprising this is the first time we have seen him at such a final table.
