PokerBaazi’s flagship tournament End Boss returns with another 5 crore (approx $650,000) guarantee while Spartan Poker’s IOPC series guarantees 33 crore ($4.2 million) — the country’s largest prize pool ever. India’s largest online poker room, PokerBaazi , and fourth-largest, Spartan Poker , have lined up some significant tournament events that are almost on par with the guarantees of international operators.
PokerBaazi, which has grown to become the largest online poker platform in the country, will be hosting the third edition of its record-breaking event End Boss this month. The event returns with 5 crore in guarantees, which, when converted from INR to USD, equates to approximately $650,000. It still holds the record for the market’s largest guaranteed online poker tournament .
Meanwhile, Spartan Poker, another India-based room will be hosting the 13th edition (15th as per our counts) of its flagship tournament series India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) , setting the bar even higher this time, going past its 30 crore guarantees it had in the previous two editions to a new record of 33 crore.
33 crore or 3300 LAC at today’s currency exchange rate equates to just over $4.2 million, which is far bigger than the flagship series run by international poker rooms that operate on a global scale such as 888poker, iPoker, and Unibet.
