Leonard Excited to Grind Prestigious PartyPoker MILLIONS Online Series

PartyPoker Ambassador Patrick Leonard It’s been just over two months since Patrick Leonard won his first WSOP bracelet in WSOP Event #55: $1,000 Tag Team alongside Espen Jorstad , but the grind doesn’t stop for the PartyPoker Team Pro.

The popular advocate for “never missing a Sunday” has his work cut out for him this month, with a myriad of poker festivals including the PartyPoker MILLIONS Online .

He spoke with PokerNews about how excited he is for the festival, memories of his near miss earlier in the 2022 MILLIONS Online KO Main Event and just how many Instagram stories followers of him can expect!

Live poker is obviously back, but talented online players like yourself must still look forward to big online tournament series like MILLIONS Online?

Absolutely. This is the best time of the year for online grinders like me. I’ll probably be playing every single day right up until the end of the series on September 27. I look forward to it for months in advance, and now I can play for the big guarantees this series brings. How much work do you put into planning ahead and targeting specific events, or is it about playing a full schedule and playing your best for the entire series?

I don’t target any specific events to be honest. I wake up, go online and start registering from the top of the lobby. I just love poker and I can enjoy a $109 buy-in tournament just as much as a $1k buy-in tournament.

The MILLIONS brand – both live and online – has become so recognizable for players. Why do you think that is? What can people expect if they jump into one of the MILLIONS Online events?

PartyPoker run a lot of series throughout the year, but I think MILLIONS is the most prestigious.
