Pennsylvania’s legal online poker, slots, and table games brought in nine figures of revenue again in September 2022 . That not only keeps the streak alive but keeps 2022 on pace to be the strongest year yet for that segment of the gambling industry.
The latest figures from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board revealed that the state’s licensees reported over $112.5 million in gross revenue from online poker, slots, and table games in September 2022.
Slots accounted for about 69.1% of that total at $77.8 million.
The $112.5 million in gross revenue represents an improvement of about 13.2% from the same category in September 2021. It also marks the eighth month so far in 2022 when gross revenue from online casinos in Pennsylvania topped $100 million.
Through September, only July’s returns failed to eclipse that total. For the first nine months of 2022 cumulatively, gross revenue for online gambling (excluding sports betting) in Pennsylvania has surpassed $975.3 million .
In 2021, the first nine months of online poker, slots, and table games produced $812.7 million in revenue. Thus, 2022 is up around 16.7% year-over-yea r. With three months left in 2022, the running total is just $127 million short of matching the total for all of 2021.
