Poker fans and enthusiasts across the globe can now begin nominating who they think must be enshrined into the 2022 Women in Poker Hall of Fame . They have until September 1 to nominate their favorite female poker figure.
The latest members of the prestigious club are Lupe Soto and Maria Ho , both of whom were inducted in 2018 . New members were supposed to be inducted in 2020, but the entire voting process was cancelled due to the pandemic. Vanessa Selbst, Kristen Foxen Strong Contenders
As the nominations take place, it would be very hard to ignore Vanessa Selbst and Kristen Foxen , two of the most accomplished female poker pros of all time.
Selbst’s poker skills are just impressive and that is reflected in her live tournament record which currently boasts $11.9 million in total cashes, putting her at the top of Hendon Mob’s All-Time Money List for Women .
Selbst has three World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets and two World Poker Tour (WPT) final tables to her name. The Brooklyn, New York native, who is a former PokerStars ambassador, also won in several other major tournament series around the world.
We have not seen a lot of her at the live tables since she announced her retirement from the game back in 2018, but she will always be recognized for her aggressive style and for being one of the world’s best poker players.Like Selbst, Foxen is also a successful poker pro, winning titles after titles. She was named GPI Female Poker Player of the Year thrice and is also a three-time WSOP champ.
