The World Poker Tour is still adding to its Season XX schedule, all in celebration of its 20 th anniversary.
The last major announcement about a new tour stop was to reveal a new partnership with Wynn Las Vegas . It will serve as the host casino for the WPT World Championship, a season-ending and year-ending series complete with more poker variations, a Ladies Championship, and a WPT Main Event with a $10K buy-in and record-setting $15M guarantee.
For that series, the World Poker Tour continues adding more ways for players to qualify. There are satellites at all WPT main tour and WPT Prime stops leading up to the Wynn series, and players in many parts of the world can participate in online poker satellites on WPT Global. For those in other countries, like the United States, players can win prize packages worth $12K on ClubWPT. The subscription poker website will award 40 WPT World Championship Passport packages, complete with travel expenses and a three-night stay at the Wynn on the Las Vegas Strip.
But before they gather in Vegas to wrap the year and anniversary season, they’re going on a boat. Caribbean Cruise
Some WPT fans will remember that the World Poker Tour wanted to cruise last year. They set up the WPT Cruise for October 2021, complete with…well, it didn’t matter. The pandemic was still wreaking havoc on the travel industry. The WPT had to postpone the cruise.
They’re ready now.
It will be the WPT Cruise on the Scarlet Lady, a ship provided by Virgin Voyages.
